Building this site

I wanted a place to think. Not a portfolio, not a brand — just a place.

The decisions were simple: no framework, no CMS, no analytics. Static HTML built from markdown. A serif font for the writing, monospace for everything else. Three colors.

Every choice I removed felt like a small act of clarity. Do I need categories? No. Tags? No. Dark mode? Not yet. Comments? Definitely not.

What I wanted was a site that felt like mine. Quiet, a little plain, but deliberate. Like a notebook you'd actually carry around — not one you'd display.

I'll write here when I have something to think through. Not on a schedule. Not to build an audience. Just to understand things better by putting them into words.
